CLIMATE
Climate: Tropical
Nuevo Vallarta weather resembles that of the Caribbean, with over 300 days of sunshine. Temperature ranges from 68 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Banderas Bay water is calm and perfect for swimming year-round.
Located near the equator and on the same latitude as Hawaii, the climate and calm boating environment make Nuevo Vallarta one of Mexico’s favorite destinations; frequented by travelers from the United States, Canada and the rest of the world throughout the year.

TRANSPORTATION
The Puerto Vallarta International Airport is 12 kilometres (7.5 miles) from the Grand Luxxe Resort. It is served by Aeromexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, America West, Aviacsa, Continental Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Lineas Aereas Azteca, Mexicana Airlines, Sun Country and United Airlines.
Private transportation, provided by Grand Luxxe, is available for airport transfers. Taxi services and rental cars are also available. Valet and self-parking is available at the Grand Luxxe resort.

Currency: The Mexican Peso is the official currency. Due to recent changes in Mexican law, U.S. currency is no longer accepted at the resort and many businesses throughout Mexico. There are ATMs on the property for convenience as well as all services and food can be charged to your room.
WHAT TO SEE AND DO?
- Beaches: Puerto Vallarta offers 25 miles of golden beaches within the spectacular Banderas Bay.
- Malecon: This boardwalk stretches along the Playa de los Muertos beach, the length of downtown Vallarta. This walkway doubles as a seawall and allows you to observe the bay, beaches, mountains and the downtown area shops. Along the boardwalk are art exhibits, street performers, boutique shopping and wonderful places to drink and dine.
- Nueva Valle: An Indian community populated by 130 natives. Tours allow you to meet the Huicholes and be welcomed with a spiritual cleansing ceremony led by a Huichol leader. They will allow you to come into their Huichol Temple and perform ceremonial dances and music for you. Discover the incredible culture of the Huichol community and purchase intricate, beautiful Huichol handcrafts.
- Puerto Vallarta: Old Town is lined with white-washed homes and shops. South of the Cuale River, the Zona Romantica has Puerto Vallarta’s highest density of restaurants and tourist-oriented shops.
- San Sebastian del Oeste: Behind Puerto Vallarta in the Sierra Madre Mountains, this old mining town founded in over 400 years ago is beautiful and serene. The town retains its history and heritage in the well-preserved buildings that are up to 250 years old.
- Sayulita: Located on the Pacific coast of Nayarit, Sayulita is a beautiful fishing village. Only 35 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, this village has incredible beaches perfect for surfing, flourishing jungles and rural aspects of Mexico. This growing village offers activities including horseback riding, jungle canopy tours, fishing, snorkeling and hiking.
- Zona Romantica: Located in downtown Puerto Vallarta, Zona Romantica is bordered by the Cuale River and Playa de lost Muertos. Cobblestone streets, beautiful beaches, colonial architecture, local shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants provide unlimited activities in Zona Romantica.
