Riviera Maya's annual average temperature is 25.5 degrees Celsius (78 degrees Fahrenheit). This steady temperature might fluctuate but not by more than 8 degrees. It truly is perfect weather! Don't forget a light wrap during the winter months as the cool night air can be a little chilly.

Currency: The Mexican Peso is the official currency. Due to recent changes in Mexican law, U.S. currency is no longer accepted at the resort and many businesses throughout Mexico. There are ATMs on the property for convenience as well as all services and food can be charged to your room.

  • Beaches: Explore miles of beautiful Riviera Maya beaches .Let the powder white sand sink beneath your feet as you relax and enjoy the unspoiled beaches of Riviera Maya.
  • Chichen Itza: As one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, Chichen Itza is an impressive city. Its pyramids loom over huge plazas, intricately aligned with the sun and stars. Make a trip on March 21st to join millions of visitors who gather on this day every year for the equinox ceremony to observe the movement of the Kukulkan God (a snake) coming down from El Castillo.
  • Coba: The height of the city of Coba came around the Classic period (A.D. 300-1000) as one of the largest ancient cities in Mexico. A popular site is Nohoc Mul - one of the larger pyramids in Mexico.
  • Laguna Chankanaab: This breathtaking park full of gardens was established on the island of Cozumel around a natural coral structure.
  • Playa del Carmen: What was once a fishing village, now has come to be known as the town of Playa del Carmen. Spend the day strolling the streets and pop in for surprisingly delicious dining, energetic nightlife and become an adventurous seafarer.
  • Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve: A part of the World Heritage List by UNESCO, a protected area in Mexico. It is made up of uninhabited stretches of sea life mixed with lush forests.
